Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kilz interior/exterior I use it in my office on the floor. Because my floor was damaged and I couldn't afford to have the floors done. I primed the floor and let it set overnight, then I painted my floor a beautiful medium gray color. When that dried I took a stencil and stenciled the design on my floor so it looked like a rug was on the floor. Then I put 3 coats of a clear coat. That was 5 years ago and it still looks like it di when I first painted it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple 1 coat! I recently painted a bedroom in my house that was pained 20 years ago with a dark color on the walls. 1 coat of KILZ did the job! Covered all the old paint so the new color could be added. It works so well on ceilings that there is no need to paint over the KILZ!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall paper everywhere I wish this product was available after I had stripped my bathroom wall several years ago and utilized a basic sheet rock primer . Guess what some of the areas started peeling after 8 years , guess the adhesive from the wall paper glue was activated from the bath shower steam. Its like thin glue to hold torn drywall facing paper, dried wallcovering adhesive. I think if you have nasty looking wall paper and its very very secured to the wall and want a quick fix you "MAY" be able to apply this product over to help seal and hold the wall paper seams together. Somebody on YouTube may have done it already . Product is tint able per rep . Product has a "tack able feel " like it ready to adhere the next coat .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from saves time! I have used this under paint in several projects. Allows for better coverage over dark paint, and helps to hide where repairs have been done by making the surface look consistant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing better for seal peeling drywall My home was built in 1971 when wallpaper was king. Nearly every wall was covered with wallpaper adhered directly to the drywall paper. This not only made it very hard to get the wallpaper off, it also allowed the drywall paper to age. The result was huge patches of drywall that would endlessly flake away like birch bark. I tried many products, but the ONLY product that permeated the paper, adhered it down firmly, and then prevented it from bubbling back up when skimming and painted was Kilz Klear. Other products allowed joint compound and paint to rewet the paper and start a new layer of paper peeling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product overall. Good paint for cover ups, but not that great at getting rid of mold. Either that or I have a bigger problem than this can handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I used Kilz Kleer on a chalky surface(previously painted brick) that had been painted over three years prior and was peeling very badly. I primed the chalky surface with Kleer after scraping off almost the entire layer of paint that failed to adhere to the chalky surface, two and one-half years have passed and the finish coat I applied over the Kleer is extremely tight to the surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard working so I don't have 2 Recently purchased a home that was rainbow colors it was terrible. So I used kilts and was amazed that in most cases only had to use one coat to go over the strange navy blue and dark brown on the walls. It was wonderful painting a home is not usually my favorite part so happy I used your products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Job Kilz We bought Kilz High Performance Sealer for a bedroom that my daughter had occupied for about 3 years. It was painted a bright flourescent green and she and her boyfriend were both heavy smokers in there. After washing the walls and using your Sealer the odor is absolutely gone. YAYY. Thank you for a GREAT product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interior fireplace Purchased this product to seal, prior to painting, an interior fireplace. Coverage is awesome. I had the primer tinted black, as the fireplace will be a deep gray, however, now that the primer is on there, I like it just as it came out a beautiful "soft" black. Is it necessary to paint over this, or can it be left as it is...just the primer? Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kilz has done it again! I have been repairing a water damaged exterior door. I needed a primer that would seal the soft filler between the replacement sheeting and the old sheeting. Klear did the job of sealing all of the door, and the new paint went on easily and didn't soak into the wood. It looks pinkish in the paint can and goes on a little pink so that you can see where you just applied it, but becomes clear in a few seconds and dries clear. I have another exterior door that is getting splashed. When the rains stop, I am going to give it a coat of Klear to help protect it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ceiling Problem Solved With KilzKlear A home I bought had had new sheetrock ceilings put up a while ago and then had popcorn finish applied. Unfortunately they had used no primer and the popcorn started falling off in dinnerplate size pieces. I removed all the popcorn, sanded the filled joints and was then left with a very powdery and absorbent surface so I applied 2 coats of KilzKlear a couple of hours apart and it gave me an excellent surface to apply white ceiling paint to. KilzKlear is easy to apply with a roller, dries quickly, fixes a chalky or dusty surface permanently and overcoats well. Any spillage wiped up while wet easily with a damp cloth and water. Its great to find a costeffective product which does exactly what it says on the can.
