Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! We had to patch a ceiling after roof damage and a water leak. We put up some new pieces of drywall, and needed to prime it before we painted it. This worked perfectly. Nice smooth surface for the next step.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was the most disgusting project ever! The garage had been drywalled 20+ years ago but had never been finished. The drywall paper on the ceiling and walls had turned an ugly brown, and two of the walls had water damage. First we painted the walls and ceiling with Kilz PVA Drywall Primer. Then we painted Kilz 2 over the water damaged area. I couldn't believe it covered the stains! I didn't take Before/After photos because I never want to be reminded how bad it looked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Covers awesome We are in the middle of a very large interior home remodel. Removing old popcorn ceilings from our entire upstairs, removing walls which required patching on the ceiling with new drywall. The PVA primer has covered so great. Love that it goes on a gray and dries to white. Made the 2nd coat so much easier to apply. And we only needed 2 coats to cover everything. We tried another primer in a different room and were so disappointed in the original results. The PVA was a life (and shoulder) saver since I only needed two coats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage for smooth drywall texture We just primed our walls after 1 year since we had our walls re-textured from rough to smooth walls. Killz did a great job at priming our walls for this big project. We were surprised that we didn’t need as much paint coverage as we thought we would have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pva Goes on good. Doesn't drip off the brush and roller like other brands of PVA drywall sealer. One coat over new drywall and one coat of paint and my project looks great. Never will I waste my time and money with inferior brands. Kilz is the number one primer and sealer for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be Careful I'm sure this primer is great, as all the other Kilz products I've used are great - but you need to use them for their intended purpose. Where the can says "for use on new drywall", it should really say "ONLY for use on new drywall." You can't use this over any other paint (regardless of whether it is glossy or flat) and you can't use it over a mud skim coat. I have to strip all of the product from my bathroom because it won't work for the application. It will always have the possibility of failure and you definitely don't want to use it as an underlayment for wallpaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this PVA Primer for the first time today on newly plastered walls that were finished 5 days ago. I've primed lots of fresh plaster over the years and I can say without a doubt that this is the best product I've ever used. It went on easily, coverage was great and as another reviewer stated, it looks like a finished coat of flat wall paint. In fact, my wife suggested that I just go with the primer and start installing the baseboard and trim. I will be adding a topcoat of flat wall paint but again, the PVA looks really good all on its own. PVA is my new go to primer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New drywall Works great and looks great without painting after use. It blends the tape joints where sparkle is used with the grey drywall. I would be be happy just using the primer without any further paint.
