Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good as new after 15 years I would rate this a five if it blocked pine knots from showing through. It does a good job blocking everything else. I just finished a can and still had more to prime and remembered the can that was in my basement over 15 years ago when I moved in. It's a full can, and although it settled completely, with all the solids on the bottom of the can, I was able to stir it and use it and even after all those years, it still worked as well as the new primer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to cover a smokers home We bought an old cottage that a previous renter smoked in. When I say smoked in, I mean, the walls used to be white and when we bought the home, the walls were tan. After washing the walls and applying about two coats of Kilz and then the paint, you cannot even tell a smoker lived there. No smoke smell and the paint was able to adhere to the walls great. There was one little area we forgot to prime and the paint wouldn't adhere due to all the nicotine on the walls. Would recommend this product to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter used all mine! I bought a 5 gallon bucket to prime my 1924 home but before I could get to that project my daughter and her husband "borrowed" my bucket to prime their 1880's home. I had to go out and buy a 2nd bucket and just finally started painting my home! It's smooth and really needed a solid layer on the old wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hides well We had some really dark colors in our new house that probably would have taken 5+ coats of paint to cover. My husband did one coat of kilz and 2 coats of paint and voila! No more gross paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect primer to redo our travel travel My husband and I redid a travel trailer that we now live in full time. The walls were the crappy ordinary camper walls. I read many reviews and Kilz primer was the one that was suggested most. So that is what we used. No sanding except over spots we patched. We used it to prime the walls, doors and cabinets! 7 months living in it full time (2 adults and 5 furbabies) and no issues!!! Thank for an amazing product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought this last month to paint my Mom’s wood floor. She had carpet originally but tore it out as she had a dog who had a lot of accidents on it. The urine had gone through onto the wood. We kilzed it before laying new carpet to seal in the stains and odor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coverage I bought this product a couple months ago and used it as primmer to paint over old wood paneling. It worked so well covering the wood paneling so it could be painted white. I've used this product many times over the years and it is hands down the best primer the only thing I use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my busines I run a small woodshop specializing in custom wood doors. Been at it for 4 years now. For the first few months everything was stained doors , then I started getting orders for painted doors. With so many of the current products stating that they are a Paint & primer in one that's what I use that's why I didn't know any better. Then I had a customer who's paint was literally just peeling off when they received your door. I sense is it in another state I paid a local painter there to sand it down and repaint it and he said the mistake I made was not priming. So I accepted that lesson and have since primed every single door that I've ever painted and it was transformative. You get a much better finish are you know that your wood is completely sealed. So I bought her stuff out of gallon now and use it pretty much every project to have and I'll also use it to seal the end grain and edges of a lot of the different jigs that I make in the shop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artwork I use this to prime my canvases to make them non porous for my alcohol ink projects. 100% everytime. It clings nicely to canvas, wood planks, poster board... Anything. Being an artist, I'm very particular about the quality of products I use to achieve the effects I'm looking for. This has never disappointed me. I use alot of this stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product We live in an old house that had water stains everywhere. Our ceilings were brown with nicotine. We had old 70s paneled walls. We primed everything in the house (ceilings, doors, cabinets, brick and rock fireplace, outside shutters and posts on patio and even some light fixtures) before painting and KILZ ‘killed it’! I would not use anything else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and it sealed out musty smell I have used kills for many projects, inside and out, for many years. I used it on the inside of kitchen cabinets. 16 years ago when we bought a house that sat vacant for 3 years, I used Kills 2 primer and my cabinets still don't smell musty. I always keep kills primer on hand for small or large projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect product every time I use Kilz 2 to cover my bird nesting area in my carport twice a year. The stains were awful but after using Kilz 2.. all gone! A Bird family has built a nest in my carport to have babies twice a year. After the babies fly away i remove the nest and debris and prime to bad areas with Kilz 2. It always looks as good as new..till the next nesting cycle. Thanks to Kilz 2 my granddaughter gets to witness baby birds twice a year and my life is easier by “fixing” the problem areas after several weeks of nesting!
