Rated 5 out of 5 by from Covers the toughest spots I’ve been recently renovating my 1980’s mobile. Wood paneling, everywhere. Kilz is the only product that didn’t soak right into the wood. It covered so well and has kept my top coat beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is great! I just purchased a house and unknowingly had a lot of remodeling that needed to be done. I was just planning on getting rid of the popcorn ceiling and so some minor changes. The sellers never disclosed leaks they had. So, once we got all the popcorn ceiling off, we found all the discolored water spots and stains in all the rooms! My dad, who's been helping me, told me to buy Kilz primer. I first got a gallon of the Kilz 3 All Purpose, which I quickly learned was not enough. So, I ended up getting five gallons of the Kilz 2 All Purpose; now I got too much. We had to apply a few layers of the primer to cover all the spots, but it was worth it. After painting the ceilings, I have confidence that no one will ever see all those ugly yellow spots! Since I got so much left over, I plan on using it when we paint the exterior of the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must use product to cover smoke smelling drywall we bought a house that the previous owner smoked cigarettes in the garage only. It was bad. Smelled horrible. We tried cleaning the walls, using different cleaners. We even borrowed an ozone air cleaner from the hotel. Still nothing worked. Decided to finish the garage. Started with mudding the drywall. We used kilz as our primer before paint. That is when the smell went away. Finished with an off white paint, and garage came out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonders We used it on our ceiling tiles to seal them and so we could paint them. It made the tiles sturdier after drying and we didn’t lose a bunch of paint do to the tiles soaking in our color paint. We will be using this for all our priming needs!

It was a semi-gloss that was there so I was concerned about paint adhering to it properly, store clerk recommend Kilz 2. Very easy to apply and dried quickly. New paint on top went on great, very happy with result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Ceiling Tile I recently rented a brick and mortar storefront to open a craft mall. The ceiling tiles were badly water stained and also had black streaks where old light fixtures had hung for years, prior to being replaced. I used Kilz 2 slightly tinted, and was very mpressed with the results. I used an airless paint sprayer for the first time, had no problems with clogging, and clean up was a breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good as new after 15 years I would rate this a five if it blocked pine knots from showing through. It does a good job blocking everything else. I just finished a can and still had more to prime and remembered the can that was in my basement over 15 years ago when I moved in. It's a full can, and although it settled completely, with all the solids on the bottom of the can, I was able to stir it and use it and even after all those years, it still worked as well as the new primer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to cover a smokers home We bought an old cottage that a previous renter smoked in. When I say smoked in, I mean, the walls used to be white and when we bought the home, the walls were tan. After washing the walls and applying about two coats of Kilz and then the paint, you cannot even tell a smoker lived there. No smoke smell and the paint was able to adhere to the walls great. There was one little area we forgot to prime and the paint wouldn't adhere due to all the nicotine on the walls. Would recommend this product to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter used all mine! I bought a 5 gallon bucket to prime my 1924 home but before I could get to that project my daughter and her husband "borrowed" my bucket to prime their 1880's home. I had to go out and buy a 2nd bucket and just finally started painting my home! It's smooth and really needed a solid layer on the old wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hides well We had some really dark colors in our new house that probably would have taken 5+ coats of paint to cover. My husband did one coat of kilz and 2 coats of paint and voila! No more gross paint.
