WHAT TO DO

1

Wipe down the surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust. Primer and paint won’t stick to dust. Allow the surface to dry.

2

Tape around baseboards, trim, and moldings.

Make sure your tape is nice and smooth with no wrinkles or creases in it otherwise paint could leak in.

3

Applying primer first is the best way to ensure a perfect finish later. Just as it does with makeup and on cars, primer creates a smooth base that promotes better adhesion and truer color from your topcoat paint.

Apply primer using a brush first to “cut in" around edges, then use a roller to fill in. That’s how the pro’s do it.

4

Allow 2 hours dry time.

5

Apply paint as you did primer, using a brush first to cut in around edges 4 to 6 feet at a time, then use a roller to fill in those sections before moving along.

6

Allow 2 hours dry time*, then apply second coat.

7

Remove tape prior to paint drying and guess what? You’re done. Look how awesome that looks! Camera phone. Insta. #nailedit

*Dark colors and high humidity areas may have extended dry times

Start fast and finish beautifully.
