KILZ® Masonry Waterproofing Paint

• Ideal for all interior and exterior porous concrete and masonry surfaces including basement and retaining walls, masonry walls, cinder and concrete blocks, stucco, brick, foundations and landscape walls.
• Can be used on slightly damp surfaces. Do not use over oil or latex based paint
• CAUTION: Not for use on floors. Sealed surfaces may become slippery. Use caution when walking over a coated surface.

• New concrete must be completely cured (30 days).
• Remove efflorescence, dirt, oil and grease. Clean with a concrete cleaner and degreaser.
• Remove any mildew stains with a bleach and water solution or similar commercially available mildew remover, then rinse.
• Etch the masonry surface with a concrete etcher when efflorescence is present.
• Patch all cracks and holes with a fast-setting hydraulic cement.

• Stir paint prior to use.
• Use only when temperatures are between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C).
• Apply with a high-quality nylon/polyester or other stiff synthetic filament brush or ¾” nap roller.
• Two coats are required.
• Coverage varies by surface. Coverage will be approximately 75 square feet per gallon on rough surfaces; up to 125 square feet per gallon on smooth surfaces.
• IMPORTANT: If leaking is still present after two coats, it indicates that voids or pinholes are still open. Reapply product to these areas.

• Dries to touch in one hour. Longer dry times are required in cooler temperatures or high humidity areas.
• Recoat in four hours.
• Full cure should be reached in 7-14 days.

• Clean equipment and paint spatters with warm, soapy water.
• If spilled, contain spilled material and remove with an inert absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused product in accordance with all current federal, state and local regulations.

Masterchem Industries LLC warrants customer satisfaction with this product for 10 years on vertical uncoated surfaces from date of purchase, when applied to a properly prepared surface in accordance with the label directions. Color fading and chalking will occur naturally over time.  If you are not satisfied with this warranty, Masterchem will, at its option and upon proof of purchase, either furnish an equivalent amount of new product or refund the purchase price. This warranty is made to the original residential product purchaser and is not transferable. Masterchem will not be responsible for (1) labor or cost of labor for the removal or application of any product or (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based upon breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION

WARNING! IRRITANT! HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED. CONTAINS ETHYLENE GLYCOL. Avoid contact with eyes. May cause eye, nose and throat irritation. Avoid breathing of dust, vapors or spray mist. Open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headache, or dizziness, or if air monitoring demonstrates vapor / mist levels are above applicable limits, wear an appropriate, properly fitted respirator (NIOSH / MSHA TC 23C or equivalent) during and after application. Follow respirator manufacturer’s direction for respirator use. Close container after each use. Wash thoroughly after handling and before smoking and eating.

WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. FIRST AID: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention  immediately. If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical attention immediately. In case of eye contact, flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.
