Where to Use

  • Ideal for ceilings where a flat sheen and low light reflectance are desired. Apply to smooth and textured drywall, stucco, plaster, wood, or acoustic tile.

Priming

  • For best results, use two coats of KILZ Complete Coat Flat Ceiling Paint on lightly stained, porous and repaired surfaces. For heavily stained spots, apply a coat of KILZ Upshot primer. For extensive, heavily stained surfaces, apply a coat of KILZ PREMIUM Primer/sealer/stainblocker.

Surface Preparation

  • Remove any loose or peeling paint and wash off dirt or grease with a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute. Rinse well and allow surface to dry.

  • Countersink all nailheads, repair imperfections and sand smooth.

  • Glossy surfaces must be scuff sanded with appropriate sandpaper prior to coating.

  • Remove dust with a damp cloth and allow to dry.

  • Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before priming and painting.
